Before I joined Zumba my weight was 11.5 st I now weight 9.5 st.
Back in June last year I saw a photo of me which I hated. It was then that I decided to do something about it. I didn't tell anybody, not even my partner. I cut out all the junk food and started eating more healthy food. Even though I lost a few pounds, when I saw my holiday snaps I NEW I had to do SOMETHING about it: a diet wasn't enough as I needed to tone my body.
Then one night, by chance I bumped into Cori’s husband Sam, and was talking to him about getting fit and he told me about your class called Zumba, what it was etc. So I gave it a go. It was quiet scary going on my own, but once you started the class I FELL IN LOVE WITH IT!! Needless to say that the Latin American music had SOMETHING to do with it, but also your FANTASTIC ENERGY...and the FUN.....
So after that I became a 100% ZUMBAHOLIC!!!
I carried on with my healthy eating as much as I could, because I didn't want to diet 24-7, so if I went out and fancied chips, I'd have them, but then I'd word harder that week. And I also joined your hula fitness class, and before I knew it my clothes were falling off me and people were commenting about my weight loss..... And the best thing was when I stopped having "changing room phobia", that feeling of knowing that a garment you picked WILL fit and look good is INCREDIBLE!!!
I was also lucky to have found exercise classes which I REALLY enjoy and have worked for ME. It is also down to the instructor: Cori you have been FANTASTIC!! I can't thank you enough for you support and encouragement.
People often ask me WHAT'S the SECRET? Well MYsecret is 2hrs a week exercise and eat as healthy as you can!! And also will power, motivation and determination.
I feel so proud of what I've achieved because it was MY decision, MY CHOICE, and yes, I agree with Cori, nothing happened 'till I moved!!
